Webpart pains...

Have been trying to move a STS site to a different machine for two days now. And, all the tweaking and modifications have now reached a crescendo, and need to take a step back and re-look at what has been done. The docs/help would have been of use in a "perfect" scenario. Hmm..a "plus" for "best practices", but for the moment, I am having some hair-pulling moments...

There is a site with 5 webparts (two of them being connected) and the site in no way is amenable to working well with Frontpage 2003. For some strange reason "stsadm" seems to work (btw, there is a gui available for stsadm, its kinda neat, but I prefer command line stsadm. http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/8/16887e30-897e-4d6c-afce-3e85a43e6eaa/stsadmWin-2go.zip ), yet, when I try to import the site to the new site, it gives me a very *friendly* error message!

Anyways, will post more updates, as I make progress (or I feel, I am making progress ;-) )

In the meantime, some links for Sharepoint and webparts ...

Browse through www.sharepointcustomization.com. Its a neat central place for most of the needs.
